I lost a friend this week.
My friend and brother Joshua returned home to the Kingdom of Heaven.
And while his physical presence may be gone, a huge piece of him lives on in everyone he touched.
I know he’s still here with me. I feel him in the quiet moments, in the laughter he sparked, and in the warmth that followed every conversation. From the very first time we spoke on a Twitter Space, he put the biggest, goofiest smile on my face and the warmest feeling in my heart.
Joshua had a rare gift. He made people feel truly seen. Whether it was a quick message in the DMs or a deep late-night exchange, he brought kindness, humor, and authenticity every time. With each interaction, my love and respect for him only grew.
We shared so many laughs. He always called me his mushroom man. It still makes me smile.
But beyond the fun, Joshua was a man of deep love and integrity. A devoted husband. A proud father. A loyal and soulful friend. I can’t imagine what his family is going through right now. I’m holding them in my heart and sending all my love and prayers their way.
And I believe Joshua is sending love and prayers to us too. Watching over us. Reminding us to stay true to who we are.
I miss you, brother.
Thank you for being you. For showing up with love. For shining your light. And for leaving a legacy rooted in truth, strength, and heart.
You changed lives just by being yourself.
Until we meet again, when God calls me home, I’ll carry your spirit with me.
Beautiful words brother. As I've said before, the world is at a loss with Joshua gone. Thanks for sharing this.
“Joshua had a rare gift. He made people feel truly seen.”
I felt that exact same power from Joshua. Beautiful soul.
